We are looking for an HSE Officer in an FSRU based LNG import terminal in Wilhelmshaven. Brief responsibilities include management of integrated HSEQ System and implementation of ERP, constant assessment and renewal of HSEQ risks, participation in audits and inspections while ensuring compliance with applicable rules, regulations, operational and HSEQ KPIs.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and conduct risk assessments for site activities, operational processes, and planned maintenance tasks;
Manage and coordinate the Permit-to-Work (PTW) system, ensuring proper issuance, control, and closure of permits;
Lead incident and near-miss investigations, including root cause analysis and follow-up on corrective actions;
Maintain up-to-date HSE registers (PPE inventory, training records, incident logs, risk assessments, etc.);
Coordinate the procurement, stock control, and issuance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other safety-related materials;
Ensure compliance with organization’s HSEQ policy, internal HSE procedures, regulatory
requirements, and industry standards;
Organize and participate in safety audits, inspections, and emergency response drills;
Promote a strong HSE culture by providing guidance, coaching, and continuous improvement recommendations.

EXPECTED QUALIFICATION, CERTIFICATES AND EXPERIENCE:

University degree in engineering, environmental and safety or related field;
5 years+ of experience as HSEQ manager or HSE coordinator in oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation or other production company or logistics/transport sector;
In depth knowledge and practical application of HSE legislation;
Qualification as an occupational safety specialist (SiFa);
Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 standards would be considered as an advantage;
Experience in preparing and maintaining documentation related to Integrated HSEQ
Management system;
Fluency (B2 or higher) in English and German;
Driver’s license.
